Wilton Silver Labradors Written Health Guarantee
Thank you for purchasing a Wilton Silver Labradors puppy.  We began raising Labradors out of a pure love of the breed, and strive to provide the best quality puppy to your family to love for many years to come.
Our commitment to the health of both parents is a lifelong journey filled with wellness visits, vaccinations, superior nutrition, clean fresh water, plentiful exercise, and of course lots of love!
We own both the sire and the dam, and breeding has been supervised and carefully planned.  From the first breeding to delivery, our dam has been fed a nutritious food and received supplements to ensure a healthy pregnancy.  She has been taken for regular exercise daily, and monitored carefully by our veterinarian.
The delivery of our puppies is attended and assisted by us, and the mother and pups are kept in the whelping den for a private and quiet place to get acquainted.  During the first several weeks, the puppies do not have visitors to keep their exposure to germs low.  After our veterinarian has said they can see guests, we encourage buyers and their families to come see the puppies in their environment.  We ask that young children remain supervised while they meet our puppies as they are fragile and our responsibility is to protect them.
A microchip has been placed under their skin.  This microchip will serve as a permanent identification of each puppy.
At three and one half to four weeks, our puppies start to wean from their mother’s milk and begin to eat softened puppy chow, and slowly transition to eating dry food.  During their weaning process, we begin to potty train all of our puppies using a separated area in their whelping den.
All of our puppies will be dewormed on a schedule and also will receive vaccines according to a schedule.  The deworming schedule is as follows:  deworming at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks along with their mother and father.  The vaccine schedule is as follows:  4-way combination with canine distemper, hepatitis (adenovirus type 2), parainfluenza, and parvovirus at 7 weeks of age.  Buyers will receive written record of their puppies deworming dates and vaccine dates.
Before our puppies can go to their new homes, they are once again seen by the veterinarian, and looked over during their 6 week visit.
Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of purchase.  The puppy should be examined by a licensed veterinarian within three days of arrival in its new home.  If the puppy is found to be unfit for purchase by a licensed veterinarian, the puppy will be replaced with a puppy of similar breeding and sex.  A new puppy will only be given when the first puppy is returned with all paperwork, AKC registration application, and a copy of the veterinarian’s written report.

Wilton Silver Labradors guarantees your puppy against: genetic defects until 24 months of age, and congenital defects within the first year.  If the puppy dies or develops a genetic defect that prevents it from living a normal pet life, Wilton Silver Labradors will replace the puppy with no additional money due.  A written report from a licensed veterinarian needs to be provided to Wilton Silver Labradors prior to any puppy replacement being honored.

Wilton Silver Labradors does not guarantee your dog’s hips against any form of dysplasia, which is attributable to non-genetic causes such as improper nutrition, overweight condition, lack of proper exercise, etc.

Buyer agrees to adhere to adequate healthcare for the life of the puppy, including vaccinations, wellness care, and dental health care.  Improper preventative care of the puppy will VOID the health guarantee.

Females intended for breeding must not be bred in their first year of life and not until the 2nd heat cycle.  Breeding prior to this time will VOID the health certificate.

Nutrition is extremely important in the overall health and development of your puppy.  Buyer agrees to feed a national brand dog food that is meant for large breed puppies until 12 months of age.  All Wilton Silver Labradors are started on Purina Pro Plan Puppy Chicken and Rice, as the Purina brand has years of scientific research behind it and is easy for our buyers to obtain at home anywhere in the country.

Wilton Silver Labradors does not guarantee against skin problems or allergies.  There are many things that can cause these problems that are out of the control of Wilton Silver Labradors, such as pet food ingredients, grasses, soaps, new carpeting at home, etc. and therefore we cannot guarantee against them.

This health guarantee is only valid in the case of the original buyer and is not transferable.

If at any time the buyer cannot continue the care of the puppy, Wilton Silver Labradors retains the right of first refusal.  If Wilton Silver Labradors would like the puppy back, at the expense of the buyer, the puppy shall be returned to Wilton Silver Labradors, and ownership transferred (including AKC registration).
